One learns early on in architectural studies about the elements and the rules of composition - mixing various elements. In academia, as instructors, we emphasize not to over mix elements, but also that the most magnificent compositions come from some degree of careful and thoughtful mixing. Eventually one came to learn that the mere juxtaposing of a particular element next to its complement creates an enhancing effect that is pleasing to the eye, and that effect is eventually what one should really focus on: a meaningful delight experience.
One can argue that running a professional architecture firm could be much different, of course, but we at MBGP are mindful of the principle that a careful and thoughtful balance is key. I know that mixing and juxtaposing can be dicey, however, it's also at the core of innovation, and in each project of MBGP we strive to fulfill what was our mission since the very beginning of our journey: exploring, applying, and celebrating new achievements through meaningful experimentation to help communities and humanity at large to move forward in its evolution. We believe that inspiring things are a feast for the soul and can be achievable in architecture through innovative creativity. Creative talent, artistry and craft should not just be expressed and belong to small (individual) scale of interactions like in painting, sculpture, even if they reach eventually a wide audience. But it should also be applied to a bigger (collective) scale of interaction, at which architecture can play an unique and more impacting role within all the art disciplines.
Architecture is the underlying sensibility that glue together all elements of the composition. Design is the process.
Being a creative in spirit, in a world of specialization, by contrast makes me realize the needs to bring back an enhanced dimension about vision and meaning to today society. A renaissance human dimension where multiple sides of a personality were not just allowed but fostered to emerge, brought so much quality and impact to world vision through innovation contributing to its evolution. This dimension describes well why this firm is applying considerable effort to bring a level of rigor to our researching, thinking and design. It seeks not to be a specialist firm, but we do have members that are true pros. This is neither a firm based on pure technical experimentation nor a firm researching pure stylistic or theoretical architecture. But we do investigate and act on some of the best fields for potential discoveries in the country, or the world. It's simple. We have in architecture one of the most impacting potential field for world evolution, packed with some of the best talent in the various human, fine arts and engineering bailiwicks. But this not always warrants support, patronage, promotion, and opportunity, nevertheless meaningful impact. We surely hope you are among the many design lovers in our society, but we also encourage you to become involved into the local design and architectural scene. Buy a piece of art, read an article on a new technology or theory, discover a new material, get involved on projects in your city, get informed on and visit your local architecture, meet with the artists. But, by all means, don't take for granted the architectural treasures that are hidden in your surroundings, either neighborhood or city. We aim to create meaningful work in the fields of research, design, architecture, urbanism and art focusing on the quality and innovation of our design and research in order to develop a meaningful relationship with businesses and the productive world by means of experimental research and technological transfer. We look at some already innovative researches, some emerging talents in art, technology, design, business and promise to be an interesting and adventurous design journey. The overall goal of our engagement lies in enhancing the quality of life through mainly the built environment for the communities it serves, in awakening people minds, and in designing architecture with the power to transform lives.
The MBGP design team is being built from the ground up with dedicated and talented professionals. We are drawing on multidimensional people, tapping more and more talent, and building bridges in order to achieve our mission.
We are grateful to my older co-founder partner, the expert Guido for his immense contribution in building the foundations for this to happen. He brings an expert set of eyes, a critical view point, and unaccountable expertise in networking, problem solving and sapient negotiations to the MBGP dimension, and the architecture scene at large.
While we work hard to define our practice we try to maintain a balance of vibrant and interesting content for our clients, the citizens, which are our first priority. We hope you will find interesting and captivating treasures within our work and news, and with us you will share the passion, curiosity and determination as we continue pursuing for innovation, adding layers of meanings for mindful awareness and seeking for an enhanced multidimensional vision, hoping to find the perfect stimulating composition.
